Adrian Horowitz brings nearly four decades of experience in Social Security disability law to Spector and Lenz. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Adrian graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio with a degree in psychobiology and received a Juris Doctor from Chicago Kent College of Law.
Adrian began her legal career with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services representing the government in federal appeals of Social Security disability claims. With this foundation, she spent almost 20 years representing clients before Social Security Administrative Law Judges and in Federal District Court. Next, Adrian returned to the government for 17 years where she assisted Administrative Law Judges in making their decisions on a wide range of issues, piloted a “rocket docket” prehearing program, and trained and mentored incoming attorneys. Adrian was promoted to senior attorney where she had the opportunity to develop claimants’ records, held hearings, and issued her own determinations for the Social Security Administration.
Upon retirement from the federal government, Adrian returned to Spector and Lenz. Her broad experience and knowledge of the Social Security Disability system serve as a powerful asset to our clients.
